Northern lights photography tour
The tour starts after dark. We drive to the spot in Jänkälä where the sky is clearest that evening. Before shooting we go through the camera settings: shutter speed, aperture, ISO and focusing to infinity.
When the sky comes alive, we shoot. Laura moves around the group, helps with settings and shows how to put a tree, a fell silhouette or a person in the foreground. A camera and tripod are available to borrow if you do not have your own.
Northern lights cannot be promised
We choose the evening and the spot by forecasts and cloud cover, and the stars and landscapes under a dark sky are worth photographing too.
What to wear
Dress warmly: in frost you stand still for a long time. Bring spare batteries in a warm pocket.
Price and booking
The tour costs €129 per person, with at most eight photographers in the group. Book it in the Johku Resort online shop.
